A Winter Poem

Winter, winter, what does it look like?
Winter looks like snowball fights and snow forts.

Winter, winter, what does it sound like?
Winter sounds like skates gliding across the ice and children yelling, "Snowball war!"

Winter, winter, what does it smell like?
Winter smells like hot cocoa and cookies for Santa.

Winter, winter, what does it feel like?
Winter feels cold with snowflakes falling on your hair.

Claire

Winter, winter, what does it look like?
Winter looks like snowball fights and snowmen.

Winter, winter, what does it sound like?
Winter sounds like howling, white wind whistling through trees.

Winter, winter, what does it smell like?
Winter smells like hot chocolate, Christmas trees, and fresh snow.

Winter, winter, what does it feel like?
Winter feels like cold ears and happy feelings.

Justin

Winter, winter, what does it look like?
Winter looks like a blanket of white snow on the earth and children having snowball fights and building big snowmen with black top hats.

Winter, winter, what does it sound like?
Winter sounds like the gliding of ice skates on the smooth, new ice and snowballs crashing on the ground.

Winter, winter, what does it smell like?
Winter smells like the hot fire burning and hot chocolate with gooey marshmallows.

Winter, winter, what does it feel like?
Winter feels very cold like your freezer piled up with ice cubes and the snow feels smooth like a satin blanket.

Kate

Winter, winter, what does it look like?
Winter looks like children sledding, snowball fights, and white fluffiness.

Winter, winter, what does it sound like?
Winter sounds like jingling bells and shovels scraping snow.

Winter, winter, what does it smell like?
Winter smells like peppermint candies and pine trees.

Winter, winter, what does it feel like?
Winter feels like a shivery, red nose.
